On May 30, Customs issued new guidance regarding the exemption to the IEEPA/Reciprocal tariffs for goods “laden on a vessel and in transit on the final mode of transport to the US” prior to April 5 and entered prior to May 27 under provisional tariff 9903.01.28. The May 27 cut-off has been extended to June 16. Yes, this is correct: the end date was extended two days after the original end date occurred.
All other tariff actions and guidance regarding the applicability of the exemption remain in place for now.
