In a Federal Register notice, the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) has announced it will be accepting applications to add products to the lists of steel and aluminum derivatives. The window is open from September 15 to September 29, and the applications must be submitted through the Defense Industrial Base Programs Inbox at dibprograms@bis.doc.gov. As part of an “Inclusion Proclamation,” the window for submitting these applications is scheduled for each year in January, May, and September. The Federal Register Notice may be viewed here.

Upon the close of the application window, approved inclusions will be published under document number 20254-0023 at https://www.regulations.gov/, allowing for a two-week comment period.

Following the last application period, 407 product headings were added, which included heavy equipment, compressors, and an expanded list of furniture.
