Section 301 Exclusions Extended Again

The USTR has announced another extension for the few remaining exclusions for goods under the Section 301 tariffs for China-origin goods. The exclusions had been set to expire on Aug 31, but will now be effective through Nov 29. As has been the case recently, the extension has been granted for a shorter period of time than had been the case in previous years. The Federal Register notice for this action can be viewed here.

Most of the exclusions are limited to specific products, not taken at the HTS level, so importers need to be aware of the written scope of the exclusion.
